Our history

A new name for an established practice.

Elvara was created to bring together a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support practice under one name.

While the brand is new, the team, experience, and clinical foundations behind it have been built over many years. The people doing the work, and the principles guiding it, remain the same.

Why we became a standalone practice.

Before Elvara, our team delivered Positive Behaviour Support through Multicap. Over time, the practice grew into a large and experienced team supporting children, adults, complex cases, and people navigating ageing and dementia support.

The transition to Elvara reflects the growth of that practice and creates a dedicated home for Positive Behaviour Support, while retaining the expertise, relationships, and clinical leadership developed over many years.

As a standalone practice, Elvara gives Positive Behaviour Support the focus it deserves. It allows us to strengthen clinical quality, support our practitioners to do their best work, and provide participants, families and support teams with behaviour support that is thoughtful, consistent and person-centred. Most importantly, it keeps our attention where it belongs: on helping people feel understood, supported and able to enjoy their lives.

our parent company

How we sit within the Vertaview Group.

Elvara is part of Vertaview Group, a collection of purpose-led organisations working to improve quality of life, independence, and opportunity for people across Australia.

Being part of Vertaview Group means Elvara combines the focus of a specialist Positive Behaviour Support practice with the stability, governance, and shared expertise of a broader organisation.

Our future

Where we are heading.

We’re growing slowly and deliberately. Our priority over the next few years is depth: better assessment, better supervision, better support for the practitioners doing the work. Geographic expansion follows clinical readiness.
